April Hoad
Physiotherapist
April graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2017 after graduating from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Science (Sport & Exercise Science). Her double qualification allows her to effectively apply physiotherapy treatment and exercise prescription to achieve the most optimal outcomes for her patients. April decided to pursue physiotherapy as she had a keen interest in sports, how injuries occurred and how to get people back to playing sport or being pain free when she was in high school. April obtained minor injuries herself when she was growing up and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives so they could achieve their goals. Once April started her physiotherapy degree, she knew that she had chosen the right path for her. She always puts the patient first and treats them as an individual as she understands that each patient needs a treatment tailored specifically to them. April is trained in clinical pilates and runs her classes on a Monday at our Moorebank clinic. She is also trained in dry needling and segmental needling, which she incorporates into her treatments when appropriate to achieve the best outcome for her patients. April has a strong interest in health and sports. She is an active netball player who plays in the winter competition and has obtained her umpiring accreditation. April spends quite a lot of time on Sundays watching her brother play soccer in the Winter competition and provides taping and injury assessment for any of the players during the games. In her free time, April can be found spending time with her friends and family or at the gym. April is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
